About QuantMundi
QuantMundi was born from a simple idea: anyone should be able to understand and simulate an internationally diversified portfolio, with the same tools professionals use, for free and in their own language.
Today it’s easy to buy stocks from the United States, Europe or Asia from an app almost anywhere in the world. The hard part is knowing how to combine them, how much risk you’re taking and what role the exchange rate plays. That’s what this tool is for.
What we do
- An explorer with more than a thousand stocks and ETFs from the world’s largest markets and from Latin America.
- An optimizer that calculates efficient combinations with well-established methods (Markowitz, maximum Sharpe, minimum variance, Hierarchical Risk Parity) and explains the results in plain language.
- Articles on the blog to learn the concepts without formulas.
How we calculate
We use historical prices adjusted for dividends, converted to your currency at each day’s exchange rate, Ledoit-Wolf shrinkage covariances and expected returns from a robust estimator (Bayes-Stein). We’re transparent about the limits: models use the past, and the future can be very different.
How we’re funded
Through advertising (Google AdSense) and, in the future, broker affiliate links, always clearly labeled. We never charge for using the tool and we never sell your data.
What we are not
We are not investment advisers or a broker. We don’t recommend buying or selling any asset. Everything you see here is educational and for simulation.
Disclaimer: Educational and simulation tool. It is not investment advice or a personalized recommendation. Past performance does not guarantee future results.
